§ 01 · The Procedure
What actually happens on the day.
VASER Lipo at our Oxford Street clinic is performed under local anaesthetic by a GMC-registered consultant surgeon. You walk in and you walk out the same day.
- What is VASER Lipo? +
- VASER Lipo uses ultrasound energy to gently liquefy fat cells before they are removed. Because the ultrasound targets fat selectively, surrounding nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue are largely left intact, which means less bruising and a smoother, more defined finish than traditional liposuction.
- How is VASER 360 different from standard VASER Lipo? +
- VASER 360 treats the full circumference of an area rather than a single zone, so the abdomen, flanks and back are sculpted together for a balanced, all-round result. It is the option most patients choose when they want proportion rather than one flat panel.
- Am I asleep during the treatment? +
- No. Treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you are awake, comfortable and able to talk with your surgeon throughout. There is no general anaesthetic, no breathing tube and no overnight stay.
- How long does the procedure take? +
- Most treatments take around two hours, depending on the number of areas being sculpted. You should allow half a day at the clinic in total, including preparation, markings and a short period of monitoring before discharge.
- Does it hurt? +
- The local anaesthetic is the only sharp sensation, and it settles within seconds. During treatment most patients describe pressure and movement rather than pain. Afterwards it feels much like an intense gym session, managed easily with over-the-counter pain relief.
- Will I have scars? +
- Access points are only a few millimetres wide and are placed in natural creases wherever possible. They typically fade to near-invisible marks over several months.
- Can more than one area be treated in a single session? +
- Yes, and it is common. Your consultant will confirm at your free consultation how much can safely be treated in one visit, based on your anatomy and the volume involved.
- Who performs the treatment? +
- Every procedure is performed by a GMC-registered consultant surgeon. You meet your surgeon at consultation, not a salesperson, and the same surgeon treats you on the day.
§ 02 · Eligibility & Suitability
Whether this is the right treatment for you.
VASER is a contouring treatment, not a weight-loss programme. Suitability is confirmed at your free consultation and Body Report, where we will tell you honestly if you are not a candidate.
- Am I a good candidate for VASER Lipo? +
- Ideal candidates are close to a stable weight, in reasonable general health and troubled by pockets of fat that resist diet and exercise. Skin quality matters too: good elasticity gives the best contour, and where skin is looser we may recommend adding NeoLift skin tightening.
- Is there a BMI or weight limit? +
- There is no single cut-off, but VASER is not a substitute for weight loss. If your BMI is high we may recommend reaching a more stable weight first, so your result lasts and your treatment is as safe as possible.
- Is there an age limit? +
- We treat adults from 18 upwards. There is no upper age limit, provided you are in good general health and your consultant is satisfied that treatment is appropriate.
- I have a medical condition, can I still be treated? +
- Possibly. Conditions such as diabetes, hypertension or clotting disorders do not automatically rule you out, but they must be disclosed and reviewed. Your consultant may request a letter from your GP before confirming treatment.
- Can VASER help with lipoedema? +
- Yes. We treat lipoedema regularly, usually with VASER 360 combined with E-Body Sculpting and lymphatic support during recovery. Treatment is about reducing volume, discomfort and disproportion rather than cosmetic sculpting alone.
- Can I be treated if I am pregnant or breastfeeding? +
- No. We do not treat during pregnancy or breastfeeding. After giving birth we generally advise waiting until your weight has been stable for several months.
- I have had liposuction elsewhere and I am unhappy with it. Can you correct it? +
- Often, yes. Post-op corrections are a significant part of our work: uneven contours, residual pockets and dents left by previous procedures can frequently be refined with VASER and, where needed, skin tightening.
- Do I need to stop smoking? +
- We strongly advise stopping for at least two weeks before and after treatment. Smoking restricts blood flow and slows healing, which affects both comfort and the final contour.

What it costs and how to book.
Treatments start from £2,000. Every quote is fixed after your consultation, with no hidden theatre, garment or follow-up fees.
- How much does VASER Lipo cost? +
- Prices start from £2,000 and depend on the number of areas treated and the complexity of the sculpting involved. You receive a written, fixed quote after your free consultation and Body Report.
- What is included in the price? +
- Your consultation, the procedure itself, your medical-grade compression garment, included Green Laser recovery sessions, E-Body Sculpting refinement sessions and your in-person check-up appointments are all included. There are no separate theatre or aftercare charges.
- Is the consultation really free? +
- Yes. Your consultation and Body Report are complimentary and carry no obligation. If we do not believe treatment is right for you, we will tell you.
- Do you offer finance or payment plans? +
- Yes, spread payment options are available for most treatment plans. Our team will talk you through the options and eligibility when your quote is issued.
- Do I need to pay a deposit? +
- A deposit secures your treatment date and is deducted from your final balance. The balance is settled before your procedure.
- How quickly can I be treated? +
- Consultations are usually available within a few days. Treatment dates depend on surgeon availability and your own preparation, but many patients are treated within two to four weeks of consulting.
- What happens if I need to reschedule? +
- Let us know as early as you can and we will move your date. Our team will explain the notice periods that apply when you book.
§ 04 · Preparing For Treatment
The days leading up to your procedure.
Preparation is simple, and you receive written guidance by email after booking, along with a named contact you can reach by phone or WhatsApp.
- What should I do in the three days before? +
- Stay well hydrated, eat normally, avoid alcohol and follow the medication guidance in your pre-op plan. Gentle activity is fine and encouraged.
- Do I need to stop any medication? +
- Blood-thinning medication and certain supplements, including aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E, are usually paused before treatment. Never stop prescribed medication without confirming with your consultant first.
- Can I eat before the procedure? +
- Yes. Because treatment is under local anaesthetic you should eat a light meal beforehand. Arriving having not eaten can make you feel faint.
- What should I wear and bring? +
- Wear loose, dark, comfortable clothing that is easy to change into afterwards, and bring your compression garment guidance and any medication you take regularly.
- Do I need someone to collect me? +
- You are safe to travel home independently after local anaesthetic, but we recommend arranging a lift or a taxi rather than a long journey on public transport on the day.
- How much time off work should I book? +
- Most patients take between three and seven days. Desk-based work is usually comfortable within a few days; physical work needs longer.
§ 05 · Recovery
Walk in, walk out, back to life quickly.
You are discharged the same day, on your feet, with your compression garment fitted before you leave. Light walking starts the very first evening.
- Do I go home the same day? +
- Yes. There is no overnight stay. You walk into the clinic and you walk out the same day, usually within a few hours of your procedure finishing.
- When can I return to work? +
- Most patients return to desk-based work within three to seven days. Heavier or physically demanding work typically needs one to two weeks.
- When can I exercise again? +
- Gentle walking from the first evening. Light cardio at around two weeks, and full-intensity training, lifting and high-impact sport usually from four to six weeks, guided by your check-ups.
- How long do I wear the compression garment? +
- Typically continuously for the first two weeks, then during the day for a further two to four weeks. Your consultant will confirm your exact schedule, and the garment itself is complimentary.
- How long does swelling last? +
- Most visible swelling settles within two to four weeks. Deeper residual swelling continues to resolve gradually over three to six months as your final contour appears.
- Will I bruise badly? +
- Bruising is usually mild to moderate compared with traditional liposuction and generally fades within two to three weeks.
- When can I drive? +
- Once you can perform an emergency stop comfortably and are no longer taking sedating pain relief. For most patients that is a few days.
- How should I sleep afterwards? +
- In your compression garment, in whatever position is comfortable, though slightly elevated helps with swelling in the first few nights.
§ 06 · Results & Longevity
What to expect, and when.
Fat cells removed by VASER do not return. Your final contour reveals itself gradually as swelling settles over three to six months.
- When will I see my results? +
- You will notice a difference immediately, but early swelling masks the detail. Most patients see a clear change at four to six weeks, with the final refined result at three to six months.
- Are the results permanent? +
- The fat cells removed are gone permanently. Remaining fat cells elsewhere can still enlarge if you gain significant weight, so a stable weight preserves your result indefinitely.
- What happens if I put on weight afterwards? +
- Weight is distributed differently because the treated area has far fewer fat cells, so gains tend to show elsewhere. Maintaining your weight keeps the contour as it was sculpted.
- Will I be left with loose skin? +
- VASER's ultrasound energy encourages some skin retraction, which helps. Where laxity is more pronounced, NeoLift skin tightening can be added, but only when your consultant believes it will genuinely improve the result.
- Will I need a second treatment? +
- Most patients need only one. Occasionally a small refinement is recommended once everything has settled, and this is discussed openly at your follow-up appointments.
- Does VASER treat cellulite or stretch marks? +
- VASER removes fat and improves contour rather than treating cellulite or stretch marks directly, although smoother contours often reduce their appearance.
§ 07 · Aftercare & Support
Care that continues for months.
Compression, Green Laser recovery, E-Body Sculpting refinement and in-person check-ups are included with every package, with lymphatic drainage available through our special packages.
- What aftercare is included? +
- Your medical-grade compression garment, Green Laser recovery sessions, E-Body Sculpting refinement sessions and in-person consultant check-ups are all included as standard.
- Is lymphatic drainage massage included? +
- Lymphatic drainage is available through our special packages, delivered by our partner clinic Miravue Skin Clinic. It reduces swelling and refines the final contour.
- How many follow-up appointments will I have? +
- You are seen at set intervals during the months after treatment, in person at the clinic, to review healing and adjust your plan if needed.
- Who do I contact if I am worried after treatment? +
- You have a named point of contact and direct access to the clinical team by phone or WhatsApp, plus our clinic line on 020 8150 7286.
- How do I look after the access points? +
- Keep them clean and dry, follow the dressing guidance you are given on discharge, and avoid swimming pools, saunas and baths until your consultant confirms it is safe.

Who treats you, and where.
Consultant-led care at 351 Oxford Street, London. GMC-registered surgeons, strict infection control and no sales staff anywhere in the process.
- How safe is VASER Lipo? +
- Performed under local anaesthetic by a consultant surgeon, VASER avoids the risks associated with general anaesthesia. As with any procedure there are risks, including bruising, swelling, temporary numbness, infection and contour irregularity, and these are explained fully at your consultation.
- Are your surgeons GMC-registered? +
- Yes. Every procedure is performed by a GMC-registered consultant surgeon specialising in body contouring.
- Where is the clinic? +
- 351 Oxford Street, London, W1C 2JF, a short walk from Bond Street and Oxford Circus stations. Opening hours are 9am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday.
- What infection control standards do you follow? +
- We operate a full clinical infection-control policy covering sterilisation, single-use instrumentation where appropriate, theatre protocols and staff training. Our infection control statement is published on this site.
- What if I am unhappy with something? +
- Tell us. We have a formal complaints procedure published on this site and we would always rather resolve a concern directly and quickly.
- How is my data and medical record handled? +
